Hyper-realism #3 Don Eddy

Well if you have already seen my first 2 installments of my Hyper-realism series, seen here and here, then you know I am merely trying to expose this amazing art form to my viewing audience.

Now I bring you Don Eddy. Don Eddy makes paintings from a photograph by mimicking the ultra-realist depiction of the subject through the reproduction of extreme detail. The result is often undecipherable from actual photos. Don seems to not only focus his works on Volkswagens but more so metal curves, glass and chrome. Born in 1944, he became famous as a photorealist in the 1970s and to this day is still painting. His styles have changed, but his attention to detail has only heightened.

Enjoy!
